New rule of thumb:
If the Google street-view car didn’t go there, then think twice before riding a road bike there!
Some of this route was pretty rough tracks – other bits were muddy bridle paths! Brilliant route though. Took me into the back of beyond, places and roads where you would never normally go. Also discovered how hair-raising it is going across a busy 6-lane motorway by riding across those narrow foot-bridges!
Dry, sunny. 8°C when I left. Cooled down later.
Wore skull-cap, scarf, dhb Vaeon Roubaix Bib longs, base layer + dhb Core S Jersey. Shoe covers. Sometimes got a bit nippy.
