Adventures on my bike
Distance: 11.4 miles. Elevation: 936 ft.
Less of a ride, more like a sight-seeing tour, checking out the flooded roads and bridges. (I had intended to go further but my knee was hurting again – damn – it’s really beginning to frustrate me now. I’ve booked a second session with the physio on Monday.)
A bike ride from Morgex, Italy, up and over Colle San Carlo to La Thuile and then up to Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo at the French border
A bike ride from Aosta, Italy, to Col du Grand Saint-Bernard and the Swiss border. A spectacular pass on a sunny and mainly traffic-free day.
A wonderful bike ride from Gignod up the Valpelline valley to la Diga di Place Moulin, the fourth largest dam in Italy
A bike ride from Gignod around the hills and down to Aosta and back up the other side of the Buthier valley
A bike ride from Conthey, in the Rhône valley, to the tallest gravity dam in the world, La Barrage de la Grande Dixence
