Adventures on my bike
Distance: 11.4 miles. Elevation: 936 ft.
Less of a ride, more like a sight-seeing tour, checking out the flooded roads and bridges. (I had intended to go further but my knee was hurting again – damn – it’s really beginning to frustrate me now. I’ve booked a second session with the physio on Monday.)
A wonderful bike ride from Gignod up the Valpelline valley to la Diga di Place Moulin, the fourth largest dam in Italy
A bike ride from Gignod around the hills and down to Aosta and back up the other side of the Buthier valley
A bike ride from Conthey, in the Rhône valley, to the tallest gravity dam in the world, La Barrage de la Grande Dixence
A bike ride from Conthey along the beautiful Derborence valley to the protected natural area around Europe's youngest natural lake
For my first ride from the Rhône valley in Switzerland I took on the climb to Col du Sanetsch, "the most demanding climb in Valais"
